We want to know everything about the heart

By supporting research, we are contributing to the prevention, better quality of care and the quality of life of sufferers.

Cardiovascular research

Since its inception in 1970, the Finnish Foundation for Cardiovascular Research has granted a total of more than 24 million euros to more than 1200 individual researchers or research groups. Grants awarded by the Foundation are divided between important research projects, support for young researchers and support for doctoral research.

Every year the Foundation hands out awards, an award either for an international acknowledged researcher in the field or a Professor Soisalo Memorial Award for a young researcher in the field.
