Finnish Foundation for Cardiovascular Research is the largest foundation supporting cardiovascular research in our country.

The Finnish Foundation for Cardiovascular Research supports scientific research into cardiovascular diseases typical for Finns, and the publication of results from such research, with the aim of preventing these diseases, developing their treatment further and improving the quality of life of those suffering from such diseases.

The Foundation hands out grants and awards amounting from one and a half million to two million euros annually.

The Foundation obtains its assets from donations made by private people and associations, such as donations made by wills, and from investment operations. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible on the conditions laid down in tax law. As a non-profit organization the Foundation is exempt from taxation.
